What is psychotherapy?

Hello, I’m Agi, a qualified humanistic psychotherapeutic counsellor working with adults from all backgrounds.

If you’ve never been to therapy before, you can think of it as a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. My role is to listen carefully, help you understand yourself better, and support you in making sense of your thoughts, feelings and patterns.

You don’t need to prepare anything or have it all figured out. We go at your pace. Together, we work towards helping you feel more understood, more balanced, and kinder towards yourself.

Compassionate Care for Mind and Emotions

I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, supporting, guiding and gently challenging you to better understand yourself, listen to your body and emotions, and make sense of patterns in your thoughts, behaviours and relationships. Together, we work towards developing a kinder, more peaceful relationship with yourself—often the most important one you’ll ever have.

Counselling

Providing a structured psychotherapeutic approach to address emotional difficulties, trauma and personal challenges within a safe, supportive environment.

LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy

I provide a safe, inclusive and LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapeutic space where you are welcomed and respected exactly as you are. I work with adults of all sexual orientations, gender identities and relationship structures, and I am mindful of the unique challenges that can arise from living in a society that may not always feel understanding or safe.

You may wish to explore identity, coming out, relationships, family dynamics, or the impact of discrimination, shame or marginalisation. Therapy offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to be heard, understood and supported. My approach is grounded in compassion, respect and collaboration, supporting you to develop self-acceptance, resilience and a deeper connection with yourself.
